1. Get focused. Write down your goal (e.g. "Lose 10 pounds in 7 days through strict diet and smart exercise"), read it several times per day, and focus all your energy on that goal. This is a proven form of "mental programming " and without this crucial step you will not be successful!

2. Do a quick detox. Do a 1 or 2 day detox diet. A simple option is a raw juice fast, but of course this requires a juicer. Another good option is a 1-2 day raw foods diet where you eat nothing but raw vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds. Either way be sure to drink lots of pure water and unsweetened herbal teas (up to a gallon per day for best results).
